Mega Millions lottery ticket worth almost $1.3 million was purchased in Julian in advance of Friday night’s lottery drawing.

The ticket was sold at the Julian Market & Deli at 2201 Main Street.

The winning numbers Friday were 1, 20, 30, 33, 42 with the Mega Number 16.

The ticket had all five of the first numbers correct but not the Mega number, according to the lottery’s website.

Had all six numbers matched, the Jackpot would have been $253 million.

“We don’t know who won yet. We’ve been waiting all day,” said Market owner Keith Soria.

“We have a couple people who buy them regularly but I haven’t seen them yet.”

Soria said the business is far from a lottery hot spot. In fact, just earlier this week the state took its automatic Scratcher ticket machine out of the store because of poor sales.

“Then this happens four days later,” Soria said.

The ticket was the only one sold in California Friday that had the first five numbers correct, and no tickets with all six were sold anywhere in North America. The jackpot is expected to be worth $277 million when the next drawing is held Tuesday night.
